It is with great sadness that
we announce that our
Co-webmaster and friend, Bob "Boobie" Hromika passed
away on June 17th. He was a friend to all and will
be fondly remembered. Our deepest sympathies are extended to his family.

Congratulations are also in order to our 2008 Treasure
Hunter of the Year and Coinshooter of the year, Joe
Novosat. I believe this is the first time that one
person has won both top honors in the same year. Joe’s
impressive 3,553 total coins found as this year’s top
Coinshooter is a goal any of us can set our sights on. I
must say that after viewing his monthly displays
throughout the year, the quality of the coins found was
as amazing as the number of coins found. Joe had a
perfect score of 140 points in our Treasure Hunter
category also and with the quality of competition during
the seven months of Show & Tell, capturing top honors
in both categories is a first time in clubs 32 year
history and I am sure, will be a very difficult feat to
repeat by Joe or anyone else.
